"I love helping young pitchers gain confidence and discover what they're capable of. Watching an athlete leave a lesson believing in themselves is the most rewarding part of coaching."
MY APPROACH
Every successful pitcher starts with a strong foundation.
At Jacob Meyers Pitching Academy, Jacob Meyers helps young athletes build the mechanics, confidence, and mindset needed to succeed on the mound. Whether your child is just beginning or preparing for more competitive play, every lesson is tailored to their age, experience, and goals.
Rather than focusing only on velocity, Jacob emphasizes proper mechanics, control, consistency, and mental preparation, skills that help pitchers perform with confidence while building habits for long-term success.
Through personalized instruction and positive encouragement, athletes leave each lesson more confident, more prepared, and excited to continue improving.
MY COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Many instructors teach pitchers how to throw harder. Jacob teaches pitchers how to compete.
Young athletes learn how to stay composed under pressure, trust their mechanics, and approach every pitch with confidence.
"There is no such thing as the last pitch. Only the next pitch."

A LESSON THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING
One game continues to shape the way Jacob coaches today.
While pitching for the Nashville Knights with a trip to the Mickey Mantle World Series on the line, Jacob entered the game with his team trailing 5–0. He shut down the opposing team for the final seven innings, giving his teammates the opportunity to rally for a dramatic 6–5 victory.
That experience taught him an important lesson: Every pitcher will face adversity.
The successful ones learn to let go of the last pitch and focus entirely on the next one.
That mindset remains at the center of every lesson he teaches.
